I was born in South Korea and lived there until mid-1993 when our family moved to New Zealand.

My first job at the University of Auckland was in Te Tumu Hernega | Libraries and Learning Services working as a shelver while I was completing my Bachelor of Arts degree. Once I finished my study I became a full-time employee as a Library Assistant in the Engineering Library where I found joy and passion for teaching and supporting students in their academic journey.

Through my previous roles as an Assistant Librarian and an Online Resources Designer, I have gained experiences and skills in learning design through teaching Academic and Information Literacy skills to students and working with Learning and Teaching Development Advisors to create learning resources for students.
