BIO
I am a PhD candidate at the School of Education and Social Practice, Faculty of Arts and Education, University of Auckland. My research interests include educational technology, pedagogical philosophy, technology-assisted science learning, and STEM education. I am currently researching the complex relationship between teachers’ beliefs and technology use practices in science practical work. I believe that effective technology use in science learning requires a balance between knowledge of technology itself and its pedagogical use to support the learning process. I completed my MEd in Digital Futures and Learning Environments at Victoria University of Wellington (2025) and my BEd in Physics Education at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (2023).
I have professional experience as a physics student teacher in a senior high school, a basic physics laboratory assistant, and a research mentor for high school students. These experiences have helped me connect academic knowledge with actual teaching practices and better understand how pedagogical approaches are applied in different learning contexts. I am also the founder of Lentera Ilmiah Nusantara Publisher, an independent publishing house that focuses on academic books and aims to support the development and wider sharing of academic knowledge. As its Editor-in-Chief, I am responsible for overseeing the editorial process and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and relevance of published content.
As an educator with a strong interest in technology, I have collaborated with colleagues to develop several science learning tools and platforms, including:
Adventuring Physics: Android-based educational mobile application that combines a puzzle-adventure physics game with marker-based AR.
EthnoVLab: Interactive physics virtual laboratory simulations that integrates with local cultural wisdom and AR.
OptiLearn: An AI-assisted adaptive scaffolding agent designed to support discovery learning in physics (in development process)
Throughout my academic journey, I have received several scholarships and competitive research grants:
- Beasiswa Prestasi Talenta (Outstanding Talent Scholarship, 2021–2023)
- Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) Scholarship (2024–2025)
- Undergraduate Student Creativity Programme – Research on Social and Humanities Grant (2022 and 2023)
- Undergraduate Student Creativity Programme – Written Ideas Incentive (2022)
Some notable academic achievements:
- Graduating with Distinction from Victoria University of Wellington (2025)
- Best Undergraduate Graduate in the Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (2023)
- Digital Student Innovation Competition, Digital Microteaching category (2nd Place) and Digital Learning Innovation in Education (honourable mention)
- The Most Outstanding Student of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (2022)
I am open to academic and research collaborations, particularly in areas that align with my research interest. Feel free to get in touch to discuss.
