Doctoral Candidate

Computer Science

BIO

I am a PhD researcher in Computer Science at the University of Auckland. I completed a Master of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Auckland and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology at Southwest University.

My doctoral research investigates advanced reasoning in multimodal large language models, with a particular focus on interactivity, faithfulness, and safety. I am interested in developing AI systems whose outputs are not only accurate, but also grounded, auditable, and executable.

My work spans medical vision-language modelling, simulator-grounded spatial reasoning and construction planning, and retrieval-augmented generation over structured knowledge. Across these areas, I study how structured supervision, verification, and reinforcement learning can improve the reliability and generalisation of foundation models.
