BIO

Joan is a postdoctoral research and professional teaching fellow at the School of Psychology in the University of Auckland. Her area of expertise focuses on investigating hearing and auditory processing challenges in a range of clinical populations, from individuals with autism to older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Joan splits her time between working on various research projects at the University of Auckland; working as a Scientific Officer for the Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Research Study at the University of Otago; and working as an autism specialist advisor and researcher at SoundSkills Auditory Processing Disorder Clinic.
