Kiri Gould teaches and researches in early childhood education and childhood studies. Her combined teaching and research interests focus on teachers' identities and understandings of professionalism, the policy and socio-political contexts in which teachers work, and early childhood leadership. Kiri is the Programme Director for the Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies. She is a part of the editorial team for The First Years Ngā Tau Tuatahi NZ Journal of Infant and Toddler Education. She is a core faculty team member at the Centre for Global Childhoods.
