BIO
I am a philosopher and theorist of education whose research examines the role of educational ideas in shaping knowledge, institutions, and public life. Situated within philosophy and theory of education, my work explores how education responds to questions of pluralism, power, inequality, democratic uncertainty, and social transformation.
Drawing on continental philosophy, political theory, and critical social thought, I investigate education across schools, universities, and research systems, bringing philosophical inquiry into dialogue with higher education studies, gender studies, policy, and transdisciplinary collaborations. My research demonstrates how educational theory can generate new ways of understanding complex contemporary challenges, while remaining attentive to the lived realities of educational institutions and those who inhabit them.
Across my scholarship I seek to develop theoretical perspectives that contribute not only to educational thought but also to public debate, institutional practice, and interdisciplinary inquiry. Through this work I aim to show the continuing significance of educational theory as a critical, generative, and creative resource for understanding education and society in times of profound change.
