BIO
I am a lecturer in Art History and I specialise in early modern European history and visual culture, with a particular research interest in dress. I have over a decade of experience teaching and researching in Europe (UK, Ireland, Switzerland) and Aotearoa New Zealand.
After studying Art History and Medieval & Early Modern European Studies at the University of Auckland, I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge on the subject of costume books in early modern Europe. I have published on such topics as costume imagery, ethnography, dress cultures and sixteenth-century European hair veils.
