BIO

I am a geophysicist and earth scientist specialising in rock physics. Hailing from Venezuela, I pursued my MSc and PhD studies at the Colorado School of Mines and a decade ago arrived to the shores of Aotearoa New Zealand. 

My research interests are in using seismic waves to study geosequestration of CO2 and H2, volcanology, faults, and planetary geophysics. Rock physics and geophysics is everywhere! In addition to research, I am also passionate about outreach and education and I co-lead New Zealand's Rū Network of Seismometers in Schools.
