Mayuri Shelar is a Doctoral research Candidate in the School of Medicine, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland. Her doctoral research focuses on topical delivery of biologics, with particular interest in vesicular and lipid-based delivery systems for wound healing. Her research interests include topical drug and biologic delivery, nanomedicine, lipid-based and vesicular nanocarriers, peptide and protein delivery, formulation development, and the characterisation and evaluation of advanced topical delivery systems. Mayuri has a background in pharmaceutical sciences, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and pharmaceutical product development. Her experience includes regulatory submissions, product lifecycle management, quality systems, change control, deviations, CAPA, and pharmaceutical compliance across multiple global markets. She is interested in translational pharmaceutical research that connects formulation and nanomedicine development with biological evaluation and potential clinical application.
