I am an anthropologist and ethnographer whose research falls at the intersection of medical anthropology, environmental anthropology and experiments in ethnography (ethnographic writing, graphic medicine and visual anthropology).

My research projects broadly explore:
1) health and well-being in relation to the global health of the environment with a focus on young people and children and;
2) the ways in which creative forms of ethnography at the intersection of academic texts, documentary and speculative fiction writing and art can enhance knowledge, understanding and public engagement

I am an experienced podcast host and co-producer, interviewing scientists about their work for the Faculty of Social Sciences on Pandemics Reflected, and speaking with a wide array of experts for Ngā Ara Whetū, the Centre of Climate, Biodiversity and Society's podcast Sustain!
