Panisa Kurakan is from Chiang Mai, Thailand. She has over 16 years of experience as an English instructor at the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna and holds a Master of Education in TESOL. She is a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics. Her doctoral dissertation is about the Speech Acts in Responding to unplanned situations in an Intercultural Workplace of Thai Interns. Her areas of interest include pragmatics, intercultural communication, public speaking anxiety, corrective feedback writing, hands-on education, work-integrated learning (WIL), and internships.
