Una is a Professional Teaching Fellow in the Innovative Learning and Teaching (ILT) Team in the Faculty of Business and Economics where she assists with programme development, assessment review, Assurance of Learning and professional learning for academic staff to support these activities. This includes training of GTAs and TAs. Previously she was a Learning Designer in the Business Masters Programme as part of the GSM. Prior to that an Assistant Lecturer in the Upgrade Programme which was designed to prepare teachers for Post-Graduate Tertiary Study. Before joining the University of Auckland Una was the Programme Leader for Tertiary Teaching at Manukau Institute of Technology and worked as a moderator for NZQA in Core Skills. Her teaching experience includes undergraduate Communication Studies, Post Graduate Tertiary Teaching and Professional Development courses in the Business Masters Programme. Una has also designed, delivered and critiqued courses for a number of New Zealand business and government sectors which include Carter, Holt Harvey, Fisher and Paykel , and Manukau City Council.
In her role as Curriculum Development Manager for the faculty, Una serves on the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee, The Business Undergraduate Committee Staffing and the Core Working Group. She is also a member of the Faculty Staffing Committee which involves the review of academic appointments, the assessment of applications for continuation, research and study leave, and promotion.
