I am an applied mathematician, with my main interests being in dynamical systems theory and applications in biology and physics,

I grew up mostly in Auckland, with periods also in Kaitaia and Rarotonga. I completed BSc and MSc degrees at the University of Auckland with majors in Mathematics and Physics, then completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Cambridge in the UK. I held postdoctoral positions at the University of California, Berkeley and at Caltech before returning to the NZ to take up a position at the University of Auckland.
