Yousif Badri is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Auckland. His doctoral research focuses on improving lightweight floor impact sound transmission through the use of structural damping and airborne sound absorption of granular materials. His research interests and expertise include investigating passive and semi-active vibration countermeasures, structural dynamic analysis, and numerical modelling using discrete element and finite element methods.
