BIO
My academic and professional trajectory has been shaped by sustained engagement with ethnographic research and forced migration studies.
I hold a Master’s degree in Anthropology and a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Relics and Museology. During my Master’s studies, I conducted fieldwork in Poland supported by the CSC scholarship on the topic of Ukrainian refugees. This experience served as a pivotal training ground, where I developed my ethnographic analytical skills and solidified my foundation as a researcher. After my Master's study, I I hoped to continue exploring Ukrainian communities in various contexts. Building on this motivation, my PhD project focuses on exploring the dynamics of integration experiences among Ukrainians in New Zealand.
Moreover, I have explored multiple forms to express research findings during my studies. I have directed and edited an ethnographic film, Settled Fire. I also led the exhibition project Where Do We Go Now?, reflecting on cultural transformation and the displacement of Qiang communities.
Beyond academia, I gained cross-cultural and practical experience through volunteering with UNHCR, the Egala Association in Poland. These experiences strengthened my ethnographic sensitivity and ability to connect fieldwork with practical, social, and digital contexts. I also host a small workshop regularly, which aims to bring together women from different backgrounds to discuss various themes and life experiences, therefore fostering open dialogue and creating inclusive spaces for connection.
